The American Diabetes Association (ADA) and Clearpath Solutions Group wrapped up another successful fundraising golf tournament, raising over twenty-two thousand dollars in funds. The American Diabetes Association Golf Tournament was held on Wednesday, June 19th at Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, Virginia. This is the fourth annual ADA Golf Tournament in which Clearpath has contributed as the primary sponsor.
As the 16 foursome teams set out for a shotgun start on the green, Rodney Sampson, Chief Technology Officer for the American Diabetes Association reflected, “It’s such a great day and a great way to get out and contribute to such a great cause.” The tournament is organized by the ADA’s Technology Division with support and sponsorship provided by other area technology and IT organizations.
“The ADA is very grateful to Clearpath for sponsoring this tournament which is helping us raise money to support our mission,” said Stephanie Rogers, Director of Special Events for the American Diabetes National Capital Area Office. “The funds raised through events like this help us work towards stopping diabetes through research, information, awareness and advocacy.”
As an area business leader, Clearpath is committed to better servicing the Northern Virginia, D.C. and Baltimore communities by supporting various area outreach programs. With the recent launch of their Boston office, Clearpath is looking to extend their services and support to provide additional assistance locally and nationally.
“At Clearpath, we’ve always had a close connection to the ADA’s mission,” said Gary Vaughan, Clearpath President and Co-Founder. “It’s a very good feeling to know that this event will not only help raise funds for research but also raise awareness and get us one step closer to stopping diabetes.”
